Dr. Abhishek Yadav carries with him more than 10 years of experience in HPB Surgery and Liver Transplantation. He belongs to the young and dynamic breed of surgeons who have established liver surgery and transplantation in the country. Having trained extensively at leading centers in the country and abroad by the pioneers of liver surgery he brings with him a huge amount of experience in managing patients with complex diseases of the Liver, pancreas and biliary system.

2010- Fellowship in HPB surgery and Liver transplantation ASAN medical centre Seoul South Korea

2010-2014- After his M.Ch in Surgical Gastroenterology from GB Pant Post Graduate Institute, New Delhi he worked as a Consultant in the unit of Liver Transplantation at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals ,New Delhi, which is the pioneering centre for liver surgery and transplantation in the country. At Apollo hospitals he was involved with over 800 transplant surgeries including complex procedures like split liver transplants, sectoral grafts, transplants for very small babies, ABO incompatible transplants etc. He was instrumental in setting up Liver transplant programs at various centers across the country and abroad prominent one’s being Sheikh Zayad Hospital Lahore Pakistan, and at Karachi where he was invited multiple times to perform transplant surgeries and to train the local surgeons. He has been invited to multiple centers across the world to deliver lectures and to present his original research papers.

2014-2015- Specialist in GI surgery and Liver transplantation at Lakeshore Hospital Kochi- Here he was involved in the planning and performance of a large number of complex surgeries of the liver, pancreas and blood vessels of the abdomen, like extended right hepatectomy, mesohepatectomy and mono segmental resections. He was instrumental in setting up the Deceased Donor Transplant Program at Lakeshore Hospital, and also successfully and safely performed living donor liver transplant surgeries.

2015-2016- He worked as a consultant at Care Hospitals in Hyderabad where he was involved in independently performing more than 50 Liver transplant surgeries and a large number of complex HPB surgeries. He established the liver transplant program at Care hospitals Vizag and successfully performed liver transplant surgeries there.
